    My Education Background

    Michael Oluwasegun Adeoti bagged a Second Class Upper Degree in Accounting from the Ekiti State University. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN), a Chartered Tax Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), as well as a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.  He has attended several trainings on topics ranging from anti-corruption, fraud examination, Forensic Accounting to Tax Compliance.

    Michael holds a Certificate in Business Valuation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK, Certificate in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination from West Virginia University in the United States of America (USA), Certificate in Information Systems Auditing, Controls and Assurance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

    In the field of big data analytics, Michael has undergone training in SQL and Microsoft Power BI at Utiva Data School, he also received training on Power BI for Financial Reporting and Analysis.

    My Expertise

    Michael boasts of several years of experience in the detection of excess and illegal bank charges, as well as Tax Planning and Compliance. He is also part of the team of Forensic Accountants, currently acting as an independent contractor to several State Boards of Internal Revenue on the detection and recovery of deducted but unremitted 10% withholding tax on credit interest and PAYE back duty investigations.

    He is a gifted Forensic Accounting Consultant, Tax Specialist, Business Strategist, Trainer, and an Expert witness.

    My Interests

    Michael is a knowledge seeker which explains his love for research.  Recently, he started exploring the data science space in an attempt to develop a predictive tool for fraud deterrence, detection, and prevention and also to provide intelligent insights towards the growth of SMEs in Nigeria.
